I work primarily in oils and charcoal, drawn to the richness and depth these mediums offer. Each piece begins with long hours of looking before a single mark is made. I believe in taking time.
Artist Statement
Painting is my way of slowing down. In a city defined by pace, my studio is a place of deliberate quiet. I am interested in what persists beneath the surface of things — the emotional weight of a particular light at a particular hour.
